The Alberta Artists Association was incorporated under the Societies Act of Alberta as a non profit organization in 1996.
The goals of the Association are to encourage participation, education and support of the artist members and excellence in the creation and display of fine arts.
The Alberta Artists Association has evolved from the 1996 graduate students of the Chinook Learning Services Art Studio.
They meet every Saturday during the year in the ‘Oil Painting and Sculpture’ year long studio classes.
Members’ work individually in various studios throughout the City of Calgary and collectively at the Chinook Art Studio at Viscount Bennett School, 2519 Richmond Road SW in Calgary.
Member artists come from a variety of backgrounds, past experience, age groups, and style preferences. It makes for an interesting and dynamic studio time.
Fine arts displays from the Alberta Artists Association take place throughout the year in various venues, with paintings and sculptures for sale and for show.
The Artists Association wishes to thank Chinook Learning Services for their ongoing support and we all hope you find inspiration in our works of art and connection into your own creative talents.

Gary has posted a new Alberta Artists Association website at: Gary's AAA Blog
February 23rd is the set up date for the Airdrie Library display. Down on
May 3rd
A specific time April 15th for the new display at the Devonian Gardens. Day
long music and a festival atmosphere will add to this art display.

Terry has had three TV stations doing a story on him. This was edited into short 2 minute segments and looked good for Terry.
Terry is presenting at the Aitrdrie Library on April 28th from 1-4pm. He will be speaking about his work.
The Board has been re-elected. The people holding the previous positions were elected unanomously with the only new position being the Show Chairman which is Dan Laba.
